NORTH AMERICA

There are lots of beautiful stones quarried in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Limestones, Travertines, Marble, Granite, and Onyx are all quarried in North and Central America. The extreme climate and landscape changes from Canada to Mexico plays a huge role in the different types of stones and their hardness. For example, Minnesota, Indiana, and Wisconsin are all big limestone producing states, while Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, Vermont, and Tennessee all have marble quarries. The East Coast states, including Massachusetts, New  Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia, all have Granite quarries, as well as South Dakota. (kind of its own region)

Travertine is quarried in Mexico, and Arizona and they both have marble quarries as well.

Canada is a big Granite producing region but also quarries one of the coolest, craziest limestones I've ever seen.
